Eldoran Thorinson: Chichirinoda

Appearance

Eldoran is a handsome human with a slender, willowy frame and features that are definitely more on the side of delicate than rugged and masculine. He moves with a dancer's grace - not surprising, as he is a dancer by profession. His eyes are blue, and his skin is the common caucasian skin tone of most middle-class Avalonian citizens.

His most remarkable single feature is his hair, which is a strange white colour that is quite unusual for a human, though he often disguises it with dyes, turning it black or brown. However, at the time of the game's beginning, his hair is its natural colour.

Character Information

Eldoran is bright, and reasonably charming, if a little shy in new social situations. He's an intellectual, versed in geography, history, philosophy and sciences, and is given to stubbornness about his opinions. He is slow to change his mind on certain issues, though if presented with proof, he will change his worldview. However, when it's a matter of opinion without a clear right or wrong answer, he'll defend his own to the death, though if he's unable to change someone's mind, he's most likely to simply drop the subject rather than argue endlessly. He doesn't like to talk about religion, and is dismissive of the whole concept of faith. He believes that all things - including magic and divinity - can be explained by science and through measurable laws of nature.

He's a sorcerer, though it's not something he trumpets about. It's just a skill he was born with, and one he trains in because it's useful, rather than a big source of pride. His most recent job was as a dancer, and he's got talent, though it's not really his calling. He is from Westgate, the capital of Avalon, and is accustomed to urban environments, though he's prepared as best he can for the road and adventuring. Though he's not well-trained in combat, he's got some spells that'll make a monster think twice, and he's eager to strike out into the world and make something of himself.

Additional things that someone talking to him casually will probably pick up is that his parents are dead, and he comes from the merchant class. He doesn't talk much about the years after his family died, and avoids the details, only saying that his father was killed by brigands, and his mother grew ill afterwards. He knows something of spices, and of running a business, and he's very quick with figures and frugal with his money. He doesn't buy something unless he's sure there's a reason, and rarely invests in useless trinkets.

On the other hand, he did pack a lot of paper and ink. He's not always practical. He's eager and curious, excited to see the world and to learn all he can.
