| In the beginning,
There was Nothing
And from Nothing, the Titans Came
The Titans created Matter and Chaos.
Things were Made and Unmade
Without Cause or Reason
From the Chaos,
The Gods were Born.
The Gods saw the Titans' Creation
And wanted it for Themselves.
The Gods stabilized the Multiverse,
Creating the Planes and their demesne among them.
After seeing their Creation sullied by Order,
The Titans were Enraged.
The coming War was terrible.
Many Gods and Titans died in the Aeons-long battles.
When the Dust of the Godswar settled,
Arius rose from the Ashes,
A Material Plane,
Balanced between Law and Chaos,
Good and Evil.
And Thus the World was Born. | |

| Arius is a fairly typical world as far as fantasy worlds go. It is round, though it has yet to be circumnavigated. It has an Earth-like climate and geographic variation. There are cultures very similar to cultures on Earth, though they are somewhat anachronistic for the purposes of good storytelling.
I will introduce places and cultures individually and with lots of images, as I believe appropriate pictures can say a lot more about an area than I could ever hope to. | |
