The Campsite: Game-Related OOC

This is here for asking questions of me and of each other not necessarily relating to rules, but that would clutter the active IC thread.

I do have a question, actually. Should we be keeping some kind of turn order? Or is there a minimum amount of time we should wait for everyone to tag before replying? We've been doing it pretty fluidly, but I wondered if we should have a policy we all agree to.

Outside of combat, I'm not terribly picky. Whatever comes out naturally should be fine.

Can Eldoran use his Knowledge: Local to come up with a good place to start looking for work?

For the record: The jury is still out on Taking 10 on Knowledge checks in PFRPG, but I am going to allow it until I hear otherwise from JJ or someone else on the design team.

As for your check...

You've come up with a few choices of merchants that have a thing for adventurers:

Milo the Merchant: A strange little man with a stranger shop. Milo is the owner and proprietor of the Curiosity Shop, and is known to buy and sell pretty much everything. He has hired adventurers in the past for a variety of different tasks, mostly retrieval of unique items of interest.

Bertram Tung: Owner of the Blue Star Trade Consortium. Bertram is known to hire adventurers to protect caravans and merchant vessels, as well as special hires to satisfy his penchant for archeology.

Flanigan Lorsk: Owner of Whitecap Shipping. Owns several fast coastal trading vessels, and hires mercenaries to protect them when they venture too close to the Scherian Islands.

Knowledge(religion) to know if there are any temples that would at least theoretically be friendly to a follower of Corellon, and thus could be asked about the merchants? If that's a kosher use, then since taking 10 is allowed it'd be 17.

Yes, that is a legitimate use of the skill.

The Temple of the Seldarine in the heart of the Temple District is a major temple to the Elven pantheon, primarily Corellon Larethian by default.

So what does everyone else want to do while Tarathel is off at the temple?

Eldoran's going to go to the Curiosity shop and see if there's any chance of a job, and what kind of jobs might be available :/

With Tarathel headed to the temple and Eldoran headed for the Curiosity Shop, we'll go ahead and pick up Chapter 1.

For whatever reason, links don't get automatically underlined on this forum skin. In order to get mine to have an underline, I had to put the code in for it manually. If you hover over Eldoran's roll, the underline appears, but otherwise there's not much of a signifier.
